Why a daily recovery check-in matters
Recovery is easier to protect when a person can see patterns. A daily recovery check-in creates a simple record of mood, craving or emotional urgency, triggers, support contact, recovery actions, health actions, financial actions, and the most important next step.
The point is not to judge the day. The point is to notice what happened, what helped, what made things harder, and what needs attention tomorrow. Over time, a daily recovery check-in can show repeated triggers, missed routines, improving stability, and small wins that are easy to forget.
What to include in a recovery check-in
- Mood level and emotional state
- Craving level or emotional-urgency level
- Main trigger or stressful event
- Automatic thought and chosen response
- Meeting, sponsor, peer, or support contact
- One health action, one financial action, or one stability action
- Gratitude and one next action for tomorrow
How Recovery Life System uses check-ins
Recovery Life System includes a private daily recovery check-in inside the member dashboard. The check-in is designed to be short enough to complete consistently, but detailed enough to make patterns visible. Members can review recent entries, complete weekly reviews, and use those records to make better decisions.
Private entries are saved in the member’s browser. That means the member controls the personal record and should download private backups regularly.
Best way to use the tool
Use the check-in at the same time each day. Keep the answers honest and simple. Do not wait for a perfect day. A difficult day can provide the most useful information. The goal is progress, stability, and awareness, not perfection.
